Caring For Life, more commonly known as CFL, is founded on very clear Christian beliefs. People often question what that actually means and how it affects the way we work.
Caring For Life is a registered Christian charity (registration no. 519138) with the aim of sharing the love of Jesus with homeless or vulnerable people by providing accommodation, ongoing support, love and friendship, and when necessary, providing that care 'for life'! In 1987, Peter Parkinson, a Baptist minister in Leeds, and members of his congregation were faced with a challenge to their faith that would change lives forever. In 1986, several homeless young men started attending Leeds Reformed Baptist Church. This plunged some of the church members into a whole new form of outreach. They were challenged to follow Jesus' example of reaching out to those in need. Read More...

The Caring For Life Daytime projects, based at CFL's headquarters on a farm in Cookridge, are very significant in helping vulnerable people to achieve a settled, constructive lifestyle.

The two housing projects we run provide support and care for as long as the person wishes and needs. This helps to establish genuine emotional security which many of those in our care will never have known. Read More...

It is our great privilege at Caring For Life to have Her Royal Highness The Countess of Wessex, affectionately referred to in our nation as, Sophie the Countess of Wessex, as our Royal Patron. Our first acquaintance with the Countess of Wessex was when she visited us in May 2004 after her Charity, The Wessex Youth Foundation, gave us an extremely generous gift which covered the cost of purchasing a new band saw, completing the refurbishment of our Woodwork shop.
