At Caring For Life, over the years we have been privileged to have many Time For Jesus (TFJs) volunteers who give of their time, skills and passion to share their love for Jesus, living out their Christian calling in a very practical way. They work wherever the need is at that time, sometimes amongst calm and at other times a little chaos and no two days are the same! It can be a very rewarding time of growth in their faith and also awareness of how God is working in the lives of others around them.
For a full year, they get to spend time drawing alongside those we care for and encouraging them in their creativity, confidence and building good friendships. Some even stay with us and become part of our team full-time! We have a good number of staff who originally came to CFL as TFJs, so this year is invaluable to those considering working in full-time Christian ministry.
Our TFJs for this year, Matt and Joel have already been with us for 6 months now. This time has gone quickly for them both and in this time they have become a very much valued part of our staff team. Both taking on any task given, giving help where it’s needed and sometimes taking them out of their comfort zone, this has varied from helping with lambing to cooking for 40-plus folks at lunchtime!
They have both been keen and more than willing to help, making the most of their time here and gaining experience in many areas of CFL’s ministry. It’s been a fantastic opportunity to try something new, serving and sharing the joy and good news of our Saviour
We are now looking to recruit our next TFJs for the next year, starting in September. If you feel called to give your time, put your faith and values into action, use and develop your skills working alongside other Christians, sharing Jesus’ love with others and all who come into the care of CFL, then do get in touch.
