Friday morning started with much excitement, a mountain of bags and cases in the hallway, last-minute instructions and reminders and quite a few nerves too. With the cars packed high the ladies left a rather cloudy Leeds behind with the hope of seeing some sunshine.
They were not disappointed.
The clouds disappeared and by the time they reached Scarborough the sun was out and the skies were blue! They took a ride along the seafront which inspired some of the ladies to want to swim in the sea, before heading to the holiday home where the hot tub in the garden became a hot topic of conversation!
The sunshine continued through the weekend and the ladies were able to go and spend some time on the beach, where those who were feeling brave did indeed swim in the sea! Of course, no trip to the beach would be complete without fish and chips!!
The ladies took a walk around the beautiful Peasholm Park, one of them managed to hand feed the very friendly squirrels and then some took a trip around the lake on a dragon pedalo.
Sunday morning was a lovely time of fellowship together. The ladies read Bible verses, sang songs (some with actions!) prayed with and for each other, and with the aid of mints, cola, vinegar and some coins learned that God wants to help us with our worries and anxieties, and if we’ll let him, He will always be there to help us.
