Our ladies decided that for their holiday this year, they would like to have a chilled-out, relaxing time away, that wasn’t too far from home. With this in mind, we managed to find a beautiful house for them to holiday in right here in Yorkshire! This house provided the ladies with lots of space, lovely grounds to have an evening stroll and even a hot tub. The ladies thoroughly enjoyed this level of luxury and felt they could quite happily get used to this lifestyle!
The day after we arrived we went to one of our supporting churches to have fellowship with them and join them for their church service. This was a really precious time, we had such a warm welcome from everyone and it was a special part of our trip.
The rest of the week was a combination of day trips. We had a day at the beach where we enjoyed paddling, looking for shells, and of course eating fish and chips! We did some sightseeing and a fun treasure hunt, visited a petting farm which was very much enjoyed by the animal lovers amongst us, and of course our usual holiday pastime of lots of shopping.
On one of the afternoons we took a trip to a beautiful lake where we were able to go open water swimming. For most of us this was something we hadn’t done before and with the stunning scenery, the sunny warm weather and the clean water this was thoroughly enjoyed by everyone.
The ladies had a really relaxing and fun time away, helped by the lovely weather and beautiful surroundings. Praise God for the special time that was had by all, for safety and fun.
Please pray for harmony and good relationships within the ladies’ home. Pray too that this will be a home where God will be honoured and each lady will come to know Him as their Lord and Saviour.
