This week we hear from Matt who is the Team Leader in Accounts here at CFL:
It’s great to feel more of a sense of normality after the lockdowns of the last couple of years. As a team we spent almost two years separated, getting used to half the team working from home and the other half holding the fort on the ground at the farm. It’s lovely to be back in one office again, sharing the highs and the lows of working in accounts, but most of all serving our God together, helping keep the cogs of CFL turning.
Working in the accounts department can at times bring its pressures. It is our job, not only to ensure that our income is recorded, but also to manage that finance to make sure all of our bills and other costs are paid in a timely manner and that the care we provide is not reduced when we have more expensive months. This means that the budgeting has to be constantly watched to ensure we are good stewards with the resources we have been entrusted with, and through this ensure that the exec team and trustees have relevant information to make the necessary decisions as we move forward.
We are so thankful to our supporters for all their support that allows us to reach so many people with the love of Jesus.
As I write we have just completed the work involved in our annual Audit, where we have to be examined by an external organisation to ensure that we are fulfilling our legal obligations as a charity. Each year, this is a great opportunity to show Gods miraculous provision here to the Audit team, and they can see the faith and blessing that is involved in all we do here. Each year the feedback we receive from them is positive and they recognise the important work which we do here at Caring For Life.
We are so thankful to our supporters for all their support that allows us to reach so many people with the love of Jesus, whether they have given financially, large or small, or pray for us. Every penny and every prayer help us to fulfil the calling for which God has called us.
